GRAVEYARD;
GRAVEYARD
Welcome back. That wasn't so painful, was it?
Oh. It was. Our apologies.
But rest assure, nothing can harm you here! At least not physically. Of course there's still the chance that all of you will lose and be doomed to this island forever, but there's nothing you can really do about that now. Perhaps it's best to familiarize yourself with your surroundings.
Luckily, the island you're on looks exactly the same as the island you just left. But...maybe that's because it is. Every inch of the island mirrors the island you initially arrived on from the location of the cliffs to the settings in the camp to the stretches of sandy beaches surrounding the edges. There are a few minor changes, however.
In place of the ruins is an elaborate spa, fully functioning and brightly lit as if designed for some R&R on your summer vacation. The walls are sturdy and the roofs are in tact, and as you explore you'll find each room filled with supplies and equipment for everything from massages to facials to pedicures. The marble fountain in the center burbles happily with crystal clear water, small fishes swimming at the bottom and a few lilies gently resting on the surface.
Just outside of the spa sits the circular body of water with an island at the middle. A bridge has been constructed to reach the center, and the tree on the island blooms with ripe, delicious fruit and hearty, leafy foliage. The hole in the center of the trunk seems to be missing as well. Odd, isn't it?
And finally, the lighthouse that drew you ashore has been repaired. The bricks are cemented together and the windows shine in the sunlight, clean glass providing those who reach the top a clear view of the sea beyond. A winding staircase beyond the unlocked door provides a means to ascend to the top, and as the sun sets, the light glows brightly to sweep over the rolling waves.
...guess there's nothing to do but make yourself comfortable, huh? Anything can change in the nighttime hours though. Maybe you don't have to say goodbye quite yet.

OOC NOTES
Hello, and welcome to being dead! But don't worry, it's not over yet. Dead players may utilize this post to post their own top-levels in the setting and treat it as a mingle. The dead will be able to see the happenings of what's going on with the living in any open mingle including body announcements and trial! In addition, the dead can still host private conversations amongst each other if they wish to speak elsewhere that isn't a public thread. However, the dead cannot PC with the living at this time!
That doesn't mean they can't thread with them though.
From the moment you arrive in the graveyard, you will be able to thread on the public living-side mingles and engage with players' night time prompts!
A couple of guidelines: ghosts cannot physically touch or interact with the setting on the log. They can walk around and they can explore and everyone can see them if they appear before someone, but they can't write or hug or throw coconuts or whatever. They will also not be able to speak! They will, however, be able to make Pacman noises. Wakawakawaka.... And finally...they will appear in the manner of which they were killed, but ghostly. So if your character was stabbed, they would have bloodstains and the knife wound visible to whoever sees them. If they broke their neck, haha, it sure would hang at an odd angle! That's unfortunate. As the sun comes up though, the ghosts will fade away and return to this dead island.
Please feel free to ask questions in the Graveyard channel on the server, or you may DM Britt & Ty privately. Happy hauntings!

[that he really can carry it.
--AND THEN SHINOBU HAPPENS? SHINOBU SURE HAPPENS. his eyes widen a little as he glances to flayn, brow furrowing.]
no subject
She is lying! She must be!
no subject
[but then why would she lie? he doesn't think she's seemed like the type, but- well, they haven't spoken much, and last time he couldn't speak at all.]
no subject
Furthermore, we all shared them. If it was from poisoning the communal supplies, even if I was the only one to ingest a fatal amount, there would be others who would have been sick.
So, she must be lying... Shinobu wouldn't have...
no subject
[his head bows there, just a little. flayn does have a point, if there wasn't a way, but--]
She didn't- give you anything else at all?
no subject
I accepted water from Dimitri, but he would never harm me. And I accepted food from Neena, but she also fed others who have not taken sick.
I did not take any food or drink that was prepared by anyone else.
no subject
[he's at least aware of the concept of things like contact poisons-- wen ning never studied it much, but he did grow up as the younger brother of qishan's best doctor. he's picked up a few things.]
no subject
Nothing. She had no opportunity to harm me.
no subject
[and he dislikes both of those! cool. everything is awful, and they're dead, and there's... nothing they can do about any of this.]
no subject
[flayn is legitimately not sure which option would be worse]
no subject

her nails dig into the palms of her hands.]
...Dimitri, please do not fall for this...
no subject
[his voice is quiet.]
To... have no way to try to tell them...
no subject
no subject
[the timing is just- awful, in this case.]
no subject
[they're not going to talk for 12 hours, flayn, that's just ridiculous]
no subject
[he's not holding out too much hope.]
no subject
flayn buries her face in her hands]
...please, no...
no subject
they can't-- there's nothing to be done here, nothing but watching this happen, and as flayn buries her face in her hands...
wen ning shifts, moving to place himself to block her line of sight if she looks back up, hesitantly reaching out to lay a hand on one of her arms. she doesn't have to see it.]
no subject
when she raises her head, she can't see what's happening anymore, and some part of her is tempted to let it be, to let wen ning shield her from this if that's what he wants to do.
but she takes a breath and steps to one side so that she can see around him.]
...if this is even in some small part because of me, then I cannot look away from this, Wen Ning.
no subject
[he lets her step aside, though, because this is her choice to make. he doesn't have a right to take it from her, if being shielded from it isn't what she actually wants.
he does offer a hand, though. this gesture's hesitant too, because he knows he's not exactly pleasant to touch, but-- it feels like what he should do.]
It isn't you.
no subject
she nods, though, and takes his hand.
the comfort he's attempting to provide outweighs the discomfort of his corpselike hands. he's a kind soul, whatever may have happened to bring him to this point.]

...I'm sorry, miss Flayn.
