GRAVEYARD;
GRAVEYARD
Welcome back. That wasn't so painful, was it?
Oh. It was. Our apologies.
But rest assure, nothing can harm you here! At least not physically. Of course there's still the chance that all of you will lose and be doomed to this island forever, but there's nothing you can really do about that now. Perhaps it's best to familiarize yourself with your surroundings.
Luckily, the island you're on looks exactly the same as the island you just left. But...maybe that's because it is. Every inch of the island mirrors the island you initially arrived on from the location of the cliffs to the settings in the camp to the stretches of sandy beaches surrounding the edges. There are a few minor changes, however.
In place of the ruins is an elaborate spa, fully functioning and brightly lit as if designed for some R&R on your summer vacation. The walls are sturdy and the roofs are in tact, and as you explore you'll find each room filled with supplies and equipment for everything from massages to facials to pedicures. The marble fountain in the center burbles happily with crystal clear water, small fishes swimming at the bottom and a few lilies gently resting on the surface.
Just outside of the spa sits the circular body of water with an island at the middle. A bridge has been constructed to reach the center, and the tree on the island blooms with ripe, delicious fruit and hearty, leafy foliage. The hole in the center of the trunk seems to be missing as well. Odd, isn't it?
And finally, the lighthouse that drew you ashore has been repaired. The bricks are cemented together and the windows shine in the sunlight, clean glass providing those who reach the top a clear view of the sea beyond. A winding staircase beyond the unlocked door provides a means to ascend to the top, and as the sun sets, the light glows brightly to sweep over the rolling waves.
...guess there's nothing to do but make yourself comfortable, huh? Anything can change in the nighttime hours though. Maybe you don't have to say goodbye quite yet.

OOC NOTES
Hello, and welcome to being dead! But don't worry, it's not over yet. Dead players may utilize this post to post their own top-levels in the setting and treat it as a mingle. The dead will be able to see the happenings of what's going on with the living in any open mingle including body announcements and trial! In addition, the dead can still host private conversations amongst each other if they wish to speak elsewhere that isn't a public thread. However, the dead cannot PC with the living at this time!
That doesn't mean they can't thread with them though.
From the moment you arrive in the graveyard, you will be able to thread on the public living-side mingles and engage with players' night time prompts!
A couple of guidelines: ghosts cannot physically touch or interact with the setting on the log. They can walk around and they can explore and everyone can see them if they appear before someone, but they can't write or hug or throw coconuts or whatever. They will also not be able to speak! They will, however, be able to make Pacman noises. Wakawakawaka.... And finally...they will appear in the manner of which they were killed, but ghostly. So if your character was stabbed, they would have bloodstains and the knife wound visible to whoever sees them. If they broke their neck, haha, it sure would hang at an odd angle! That's unfortunate. As the sun comes up though, the ghosts will fade away and return to this dead island.
Please feel free to ask questions in the Graveyard channel on the server, or you may DM Britt & Ty privately. Happy hauntings!

he hesitantly steps forward, kneeling next to anaido, reaching out to gently set a hand on his shoulder.]
I don't think... any of us really should be.
[he's not going to bother asking if he's okay when he's clearly, you know, not.]
no subject
...Wen Ning?
[But....but how.....?]
[He peeks from out from his little jacket shelter.]
I don't understand. Aren't you already dead...?
no subject
[a little shake of his head, there.]
Master Wei said once that I could... be said to have died twice over, so does this make three...?
[well, he's here now, and while he's very worried about not making it back to wei wuxian... he's worried about anaido, right now, leaning forward to peer worriedly at him.]
But- what happened to you...?
no subject
[Somehow, he smiles at that. Though that sounds like a nightmare to him, the way he is currently...]
Ah Zoe pushed me from the lighthouse. Thought I'd be dead, you know?
[Why....does he sound disappointed.]
no subject
[but, well, consequences of not just being flush with Bad Energy. no more popping limbs right back on. or heads!
his eyes widen slightly at that explanation, though, before he bows his head.]
She...? I'm sorry that it... had to be in such a way.
[that doesn't sound like a very easy death, to him.]
no subject
[It...was not fun. His expression sombers. All that suffering and then...for what? For this?]
...Anyways. [He offers a half-hearted smile.] It's terrible to say in these circumstances, but...I am glad to see you at least, Wen Ning.
no subject
I'm- glad to see you're still here somehow, as well. You didn't... deserve that sort of end.
[a little shake of his head.]
It's a terrible way to die.
no subject
[Uh??? ANAIDO?????]
Ah, but maybe I did. [And a hum. He still looks lost, but...Wen Ning being here somehow cheers him up. With a sigh, he reaches forward for the other's hand, gently.] Haha, don't look worried, okay?
no subject
[oh. maybe that explains why he was so willing to give himself up...? but still, he was there and alive... it really shouldn't have been like this.
he accepts that gesture, though, very carefully. wen ning's always a little worried about his strength, considering he can't feel, so it's a very loose hold-- but it's there.]
I don't think it matters if... you don't think you deserved to live. No one deserves to... to suffer that way.
no subject
It's more complicated than that, but...that's nice of you to say.
[Ah, Wen Ning. The dead man who still manages to be so generous with his kindness. He tightens his grip, slightly.]
Especially about someone who is practically a stranger, haha.
no subject
It doesn't... matter if you're a stranger.
[another tiny headshake.]
There's already enough suffering, in the world. There doesn't need to be... any more of it.
no subject
...
[He could agree with that, in his own way.]
Well, if you say it like that... [And a little sigh.] Also, while we're here together...let's not be strangers, okay? I want to get to know more about you.
[Wen Ning and his hole and all.]
no subject
[well, it's less surprising from anaido than it would be for some others-- he's one of the ones who hasn't seemed bothered at all by the fact wen ning is, you know, just a zombie.
after a moment he nods, managing an attempt at a smile.]
I'd... like to know you, as well. If there's more of yourself that you know. [he didn't push it but he did, at least, notice.]
no subject
[The mortifying ideal of being known, gotta love it.]
The island is nice, now, huh? Is there a place you wanted to see? We can go over there together.
no subject
[so it is kind of nice, but-- he understands it being a little scary, too. there are things about him that he wouldn't expect anyone to like at all.
wen ning very carefully pushes himself to his feet, his body responding slowly and a little clumsily at first.]
But you don't have to... speak about anything you don't wish to, either.
[and, with a nod toward where the now-less-dead tree isle is:]
...this way?
