Welcome to our interest check for tropicalgetaway, an upcoming murdergame set to open April 25th. This will be a 2-week murder mystery game intended to accommodate no more than 20 players.

Tropical Getaway is a game that deals with spooky happenings on a tropical deserted island. Characters won't know how they arrived or why they are there, but they will be tasked with finding their own way home and working with one another to survive.

HIGHLIGHTS

With that introduction to pique your curiosity, here are some highlights to keep in mind:

☀︎ Characters will appear as if they've been pulled from their current canon point without missing a beat. They will not know how they got there at first until they learn upon game start.

☀︎ Tentatively there is not a current age limit being enforced for applications. This, of course, will be re-addressed on a case-by-case basis to make sure that, considering the nature of the game, player comfort isn't sacrificed in the spirit of creative freedom. Likewise, characters of any origin, shape, or form may be applied to this game, so long as there's a way that they can be killed. If you're unsure of what you may have in mind, feel free to ask!

☀︎ Powers will be nerfed upon a character's arrival.

☀︎ Character cast caps are set at two per canon. Since this is a smaller game, franchise canons will be counted as a single cast (for example, one character from FFVII and one character from FFVIII would mean the Final Fantasy cast had reached its cap). EDIT: after discussion, this cap has been bumped to three per canon.

☀︎ Being a murdergame, there will be situations that arise in which your character may be asked to kill, or in which your character may be killed! We will also have murder proposals open, so you can rain death on others even if you aren't asked to. In some cases, bribes or blackmail may be directed to the characters at various opportunities to motivate them into spilling blood.

☀︎ With that in mind, while it's easier to have a character that would be a little bloodthirsty and ready to kill, this is not entirely necessary! Characters should have some negative qualities to draw from, but pures are fine as long as you can come up with a reason for them to kill. All that we ask is that your character has at least one or two things that could sway them into killing should the need arise.

This game will run on an invite-only basis with a limited +1 system in place. If you received an invite from Ty or Britt, you're golden. We will also operate under the invite system should previous players wish to invite a friend. This game is designed as an opportunity for new players to join us and test the murdergame waters, and for those who wish to have more options to consider for future games. We also invite players from previous games to interest check and/or reserve should the mood strike.
