The Island.
A deserted tropical island surrounded by nothing but sea for as far as the eye can... well, see. From the centerpoint of the island, it's about six miles to any given edge, and about twelve miles across from one side of the island to the other - at an average walking pace, it will take roughly 3 hours to get from one edge of the island to the opposite edge. A worn-down dirt path connects the three camps on the island to each other and to the ruins near the island's center.

The island is cut in two by a river that runs from a waterfall originating in the western hills and cliffs out to sea, though you can cross the river by way of a stone bridge about halfway across. The lake at the waterfall's edge and the river are stocked with freshwater fish - though you can catch saltwater fish out in the ocean, too. The river water is safe enough to drink that it won't make you ill during the two weeks you'll be staying here. Both the lake and river are deep enough at their center points that drowning could be a concern if you aren't a strong swimmer.

Palm trees growing coconuts and bushes growing sea grapes line the beaches on the eastern shores. Further away from the beaches, trees and plants growing starfruits, guavas, mangoes, papayas, sweetsops, genips, sapodillas, tamarinds, and cocoplums dot the island, and aloe plants and prickly pears can be found as well.

The mountains, hills, and cliffs on the western half of the island are treacherous, but not outright impossible to navigate. Take care, though - the shores beneath the cliffs are dotted with sharp rocks, and a fall could quite easily turn deadly.

The island is home to a variety of wildlife. Exotic butterflies, rare tropical birds, crabs, lizards, and the occasional squirrel or wild pig all make their home here - and for the most part, if you're sticking to the more clear areas on the island, you'll be safe. At night, you'll sometimes hear cries and calls that sound a bit more threatening - though they all seem to be coming from the more dangerous parts of the island...

Northern Beach.
A sandy shore on the northeastern part of the island, dotted with coconut-bearing palm trees and seagrape-bearing bushes. Seaweed and driftwood wash up here more frequently than on the southern beach, and the dunes are easy to slip and slide in. The sand here seems like it would be easy to dig in, if you had some kind of tool to do so. At night, you will see strange, glowing lights in the oceans while looking northward from the shore.

The Ruins.
It's difficult to tell what exactly this building used to be, but a thorough examination will reveal that it may have been a resort or a spa at one time. The walls are in disrepair and the roofs have caved in for most of the rooms; in fact, most of the doors are impossible to pass through - either because they won't budge, or because of rubble blocking the passageways behind them. Those you can get into seem to be worn-down rooms for performing facials or massages. All of the supplies are out of date. The most accessible area is the central courtyard, which has been overrun by plants. The centerpiece, a marble fountain, is filled with murky, algae-infested water.

As of Friday of Week 1, the ruins have been heavily burnt. The walls are much more fragile, and in some cases have collapsed entirely. For the most part, the ground is coated with ash and debris, though some walls and rooms near the back remain untouched.

The Cavern.
Slightly to the northeast of the nearest camp lies a gaping cavern. Its entrance is wide and almost eerily inviting. Looking at the cavern walls, you'll see scratched tallymarks at various points - none of them make it past 15 scratched marks in any given cluster. While the cavern might make good shelter from the elements, the further in you go, the more light you lose and the more branching paths you encounter. It would probably be advisable not to venture too far in without some kind of preparation, for safety's sake.

The Dead Tree Isle.
Slightly to the south of the camp near the cavern is a circular body of water with an island at the middle. It's deep enough that you'll need to swim across or find way of making a bridge. The only thing on this island is a huge dead tree - some of the roots are actually breaking up the land on which it stands, but it certainly isn't growing any bigger. The tree itself has a hole inside it, large enough for a person to fit in there... or maybe two if you squish.

The Waterfall.
Immediately to the west of the nearest camp, a waterfall dumps into a lake that runs out into the river that divides the island, with an offshoot to the east that encircles the camp. The top of the waterfall is accessible by venturing up into the mountains and cliffs, although there isn't a clearly defined path anywhere - you'll have to make your way there carefully and cautiously. There are very sharp rocks at the bottom of the falls. Try not to slip... lest you end up taking a very dangerous swim.

Southern Beach.
The plants here also grow coconuts and seagrapes, though the dunes aren't quite as slippery as on the other beach. Seashells wash up on shore here more often than on the other beach, and small fish can easily be spotted in the shallows. Crabs are a common sight here, too, especially at sundown. A run-down lighthouse sits at the easternmost point of the beach, looming over the island.

The Ruined Lighthouse.
The lighthouse is in utter disrepair. The door itself seems to be either firmly locked or rusted shut - whatever is keeping it shut, it's not going to be easily opened. The bricks are loose and crumbling, and the windows up near the top are boarded up from the outside, though how anyone managed to do that is a mystery, given that it would be quite difficult to scale it without losing your grip and tumbling down. Strangely, despite the fact that you were all drawn to the island by the light of a lighthouse when you were out at sea, the lighthouse never actually lights up. No matter the time of day or night, it stays resolutely dark.

As of early week 1, there are numbers carved into the rocks near the lighthouse.

The Jungle.
It's hotter and muggier here, within the dense vegetation to the north of the nearest camp. Bromeliads, orchids, açai palms, pitcher plants, and strangler figs are in abundance near the entrance. The further in you go, the easier it is to lose your way - and the more dangerous flora and fauna you may encounter. Without making some kind of preparation, you'll probably not want to wander too far in.

The Cliffs.
Rocky and treacherous, the cliffs line the westernmost reaches of the island. It isn't impossible to navigate them - though it is dangerous to do so, as a wrong step could result in a very unpleasant fall. Manage to make your way to the rare patch of sandy beach that isn't just full of sharp rocks, and the fish you catch here will be more delicious and filling than any other fish you can find on the island.

CAMPS
Three sections of the island are laid out to form somewhat small, but still functional camps - with a crude wooden wall surrounding them on all sides to protect from the native wildlife. Inside these camps, you will find two things marked with a label with your name on them: a basic camping set (containing the supplies needed to pitch a tent, a sleeping bag, a compass, a wooden-handled folding knife, and an empty canteen with a strap), and an item from home. If your item from home is something that can wander around (such as a pet), it will be wandering in the general vicinity of the camp and will have a label with your name on it somewhere.

The ground in the enclosed camps is cleared - it will be easiest to pitch a tent within one of them. However, in theory, you could pitch your tent anywhere on the island or even just abscond with a sleeping bag. If you do not say otherwise on the curfew page, you will be assumed to have been in the camp where your belongings were found on murder night. Please keep this in mind!
